Since 1984
In 1984, after retiring from the United States Air Force, Mike Hurlburt unknowingly laid the foundation for what would become Tampa Turf Services. As property superintendent at the base golf course and a nearby estate property, Mike’s dedication and meticulous attention to detail quickly earned the respect of those around him. This led to his first commercial opportunity—maintaining a small bank property on MacDill Air Force Base.
Word of Mike’s high standards and craftsmanship spread, and his business steadily grew. That small bank eventually expanded into Grow Financial, one of the region’s most prominent credit unions, and Tampa Turf Services grew alongside it. In 2020, Mike passed the reins to his son, Justin, who runs the company today.
